Spain jobless rate heading for worse

Spain's government said Friday it expects the unemployment rate -- already the highest in the industrialised world -- to surge to 24.3 percent in 2012. The number of unemployed people surged past five million at the end of last year, resulting in a jobless rate of 22.85 percent, according to the National Institute of Statistics. The rate of unemployment among the youth stands at over 50 percent
