Special-needs cat flies 8,000 miles to recover at SF animal shelter

The story of Maloos is one of survival and overcoming the odds, and it all began 8,000 miles away in Tehran, Iran. Maloos, whose name means cute or lovable in Farsi, was born in Tehran but now lives in San Francisco's Animal Care and Control Shelter, and he's recovering from several injuries. The tabby cat lost a leg, survived being shot in the head and was soaked in gasoline. Rebecca Katz
