Sound of explosion heard in Afghan capital

World media have reported on Monday afternoon that an explosion was heard in Kabul 15th Security District at “Khair Khana” roundabout, the capital of Afghanistan.

No further details have been published about the blast, the report added.

Taliban authorities have not yet made any comments about the incident.

Eyewitnesses have told Afghan Tolo news that the target of the explosion was two military vehicles belonging to the Taliban but they were not hit in the attack.

Security authorities in the area have confirmed the attack while saying that a roadside mine was detonated on the street.
