S. Arabia, UAE join American-led naval exercise

The drill kicked off on Monday with the participation of 50 countries and organizations, alkhaleejonline reported.

The drill takes place in the Persian Gulf, Arabian Sea, Red Sea, Gulf of Oman, Indian Ocean and coastal regions of East Africa.

The exercise includes 7,000 personnel and 35 ships, the source added.

This is considered the second major US exercise in the region over the past month ago.
