Plane carrying 153 passengers crashes in Nigeria

A passenger plane carrying 153 passengers crashed into a two-story building in the Nigerian city of Lagos, state officials say. "It was a Dana (airline) flight out of (the capital) Abuja to Lagos with about 153 people on board," head of the Civil Aviation Authority, Harold Demuren said. The accident took place on Sunday in the Iju neighborhood on the mainland of the city, just outside the airport in the densely populated economic capital Lagos. Although official figures have not yet been released, it is feared that all 153 passengers have been killed. On Saturday, a cargo plane coming from Lagos also crashed in Ghana, leaving at least 10 people in the vincinity of the airport dead.
