Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs condoled demise of spiritual leader of Egyptian Coptic Christian community, it was announced here on Sunday. Egyptian Coptic Christian Pope Shenouda III, the patriarch of most of Egypt's estimated 12 million Christians, died on Saturday from old age. In his message, Hossein Amir-Abdullahian praised constructive and great efforts of the late Pope Shenouda in line with establishment of justice and peace throughout the globe. Shnouda, 88, became the 117th Pope of Alexandrea in November 1971, and was popular among Egypt's Christians and Muslims alike during his four decades in power
