IRI-Russia will enhance trade ties - Petrov
Iran-Russia commercial ties will expand as the two countries commercial and economic cooperation experienced a remarkable surge in December, said deputy head of Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industries. Georgy Petrov added in a meeting with Khuzestan Governor General Jafar Hejazi that although the two's trade relations declined in 2009, the situation has got better now. Moscow and Tehran have no problem in developing trade commercial relations, he noted, adding that most of the Russian commercial firms and private sector are interested in promoting cooperation and execution of the joint projects. Hejazi, for his part, presented a report on the agricultural, transportation and economic capacities of the province and underlined its potentials for cooperation with the Astrakhan province. Trade delegation of Khuzestan province arrived in Moscow and held talks with the officials of Astrakhan about the ways to promote commercial ties.
