Iranians show trust in Islamic system in polls

Iranians have overwhelmingly demonstrated their trust in the Islamic system through their massive turnout in the March 2 parliamentary elections, Islamic Revolution Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei said Thursday. The Experts Assembly is responsible to oversee the performance of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution. “On March 2, people have indeed voted for the Islamic system,” Ayatollah Khamenei said in a meeting with members of Iran’s Assembly of Experts. Praising the overwhelming presence of Iranians in the 9th parliamentary elections, Ayatollah Khamenei said, "People’s vote was also an awakening slap in the face of those who have been hallucinating about the nature of the Islamic establishment and its future as well as the people and enemy.” More details will be offered soon.
