Turkish premier arrives in Tehran
Turkish Prime Minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, at the head of a high-ranking delegation arrived in Tehran early Wednesday morning. Erdogan is scheduled to meet and discuss interested issues with President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, First Vice-President Mohammad Reza Rahimi and Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani during his 2-day official visit. Considering issues related to bilateral ties, talks about the most important developments in the Middle East, possibly talks about nuclear issues are among the most important issues to be discussed between the Turkish high-ranking delegation and their Iranian counterparts. He will also inaugurate Turkey’s Cultural Center in Tehran. Premier Erdogan was received at the airport by Foreign Minister Ali-Akbar Salehi. He is accompanied by Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Taner Yildiz, Economy Minister Zafer Caglayan, Minister of Environment and Urban Development Erdogan Bayraktar, Undersecretary of Turkish Intelligence Organization ( MIT) Hakan Fidan, Deputy Chief of the Turkish General Staff General Hulusi Akar, and Head of Atomic Energy Organization Zafer Alper. His spouse and daughter are also accompanying him.
