IRI to build refinery with domestic expertise

In a first, IRI experts will build a gas refinery using totally-domestic expertise, SHANA reported Sunday, naming the parties involved as Oil Industry Research Center, Iran Gas Company, Central Iranian Oil Fields Company and Amir Kabir University. The initiative started upon a proposal six months ago and initial MoUs have been already concluded, a member of the master project said, adding that once complete, the refinery will have an output of 17 million cubic meters of gas per day. Mahmoud Khakpour said the all-Iranian refinery will also produce 12 thousand gas condensates per day once complete. The refinery will be fed by raw gas from Halegan and Sefid Baqoun gas fields that are situated in the central Fars province and were discovered lately.
