Taiwan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Mofa) yesterday expressed regret over a foreign media report that said Taiwan had been put on the "unwelcome" list or the list of countries not invited to Canada Day events organised by the Canadian government because the North American country does not recognise the Republic of China as a sovereign state.
