The Iranian athletes will face Saudi Arabia in their next game on Thursday. The 2022 Asian Games also known as Hangzhou 2022 is a continental multi-sport event currently being held from 23 September to 8 October 2023 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China. The Games, delayed a year due to China's measures to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, will be the country's biggest sporting event in over a decade in several metrics, with around 12,000 athletes from 45 nations competing in 40 sports. The Iranian national team defeated the Chinese team 3-1 (19:25; 25;14;2522;26;24) in the final of Asian Games underway in Hangzhou, China from Sep. 23-October 8. This was Iran's first gold medal in the competitions.  At the end of the third day of the games on Tuesday, Iran is standing in the 10th place with 10 medals (1 gold; 4 silvers; 5 bronzes). Iran had previously defeated Nepal 3-0, Bahrain 3-1, Thailand 3-0 and Qatar 3-0.
